This is the final video render as part of my Simulacrum project for BSc Digital Art & Technology.
Child cruelty is always something that has bothered me from a young age; not that I suffered, but it causes something deep inside of me to tremor. As part of this project, I suggested an idea along the lines of the familiar NSPCC adverts commonly seen on British TV. The breif, intepreted in my way, was to take an object, and see how its reason and meaning can be easily affected. Examples shown to us were a bus stop, with scrolling adverts for slave labour in LEDCs. Another idea presented was a rose, and a gun sitting next to it.
I decided to take a childs toy, and create a video that began with a light and happy tone. As the video progresses, the music darkens, and childs crys can be heard. All elements including the toys expression, the carpet, the spotlighting, the light fades, its solitude, are all elements which build toward the final message of the video.
Hopefully, the message speaks for itself.

I came across ur animation on the net, it re-directed me here 2 view it. very good anim, love the music and the flow of the camera movement as it pans round. good use of texture and lighting. what software did you use?
